THE WHITE ORANGE SHOOT!
In the middle of the Florida brush, we came across this rusted, ancient citrus processing factory.  It had originally been built by Theodore Strawn in 1882.   In 1921 the original packinghouse burned.  In 1922 this metal structure, with the famous sawtooth roof, was built to replace it.   The walls were built from stamped copper alloy panels and were designed to be fireproof.  This site was put on the National Register of Historic places in 1993.  My composition & angles were extremely limited, because I did the whole shoot through a barbed wire fence, which surrounded the perimeter of the grounds.  The spider web shown was actually in that barbed wire fence!  So the next time you have an orange, think “rust” and be assured of meeting your daily intake of iron!
